The "Taiwan Mouse clinic and Animal Consortium" is to integrate five national animal core facilities in Taiwan, including the Taiwan Mouse Clinic (TMC), the Animal Image Facility (AIF) of Academia Sinica, the Small Animal Imaging Core of NYCU, the Laboratory Animal Center of NCKU, and the laboratory of Phenomics & Diagnostics in KCGMH. In responses to National policy to balance research resource for both south and north of Taiwan, the animal core facilities of Taiwan Animal Consortium are located in Taipei (TMC, AIF, NYCU), Tainan (NCKU), and Kaohsiung (KCGMH). We aim to create a user-friendly and 3R-based platform to provide one-stop, comprehensive, high-quality, and customized preclinical drug testing services. Importantly, we keep developing new mouse phenotyping service, disease models, and safety pharmacology tests to serve and support users devoted to drug development. We also aim to set up studies in line with international standards, and to promote interaction between Taiwan's industry and academia sectors, as well as international communities. All services provided by “Taiwan Mouse Clinic and Animal Consortium” aim to help users achieve their goals of biomedical studies and new drug discovery, thus promoting the progress of biotechnology in Taiwan.
